School Policies

Illness

Children must be kept home if he/she has any signs of:

• Diarrhea
• Mucus from nose that is colored
• Vomiting
• Fever
• Impetigo
• Any contagious disease

If you are called to pick up your child due to illness, your child must remain at home for a period of 24 hours and a doctor’s note clearing your child of any contagious diseases must be provided.

Medication

The school will not administer any over-the-counter medication. If your child needs prescribed medication during school hours you fill out an authorization form in its entirety and give it to your child’s teacher. All medications must be in their original containers.

Immunization

All immunization records must be turned in on or before your child’s start date.  All records must remain current in their files. Your doctor has the forms you need which are the HRS #680 and #3040. Not having updated records will result in a $100.00 fine from the Department of Children & Families and/or your child being withdrawn from school.
